Minister says future of Ford plants in Russia seen clear in 1–2 mos

MOSCOW, Apr 5 (PRIME) -- South Korea’s Hyundai has expressed interest in the Russian plants of car producer Ford and a decision will be taken within a month or two, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov told reporters on Friday.

“There are interested sides for any product. We need to work on the issue more not run ahead of the events, give them time, we shall say that the colleagues will agree in a month or two,” Manturov said.

Car producer Ford plans to stop producing cars in Russia by July as the Russian car market is under significant pressure and is recovering slower than expected.
